Continuing the trend. Here's another quicky. This time working the rough block in Art Rage and noodling in Photoshop.

Self Portrait Update

This one is still an ongoing project that I keep forgetting about. I am looking to start cleaning up the ceiling area but I'm at a point where I need to be careful not to over detail the non focal points. As i'm looking at this, I can tell which places on the face I have held off doing. Time to tighten those up with another pass. I'll post the final when I'm done.

She's finished. It was great for a good practice piece. Next time I will make sure the proportions are handled BEFORE painting ;)

Sunday Spitpaints

30 minute spitpaints:

"Mad Rabbit" -Nothing in mind really. I ended up focusing on his eye too much. 
"Country Road"-Had the idea of a run down Route 66 and Kentucky Route Zero in the back of my head. 

"White Forest"- Went out to Durham near DPAC and saw a holiday tree exhibit. This was inspired by that.

6 hours in. Still have a lot of wonkiness going on but those will be fixed.

Self Portrait-Step 1

The start of a self portrait in ArtRage. I spend a lot of hours behind the screen with my music cranked. A good representation of my life for the past 8 years.

This iPad painting started with a quick loose gestural drawing to get a general flow and layout. That followed with a reddish orange base and see if I can let some of that come up through the finished piece. We'll see how it ends up. I was definitely inspired by Post-Impressionist today ;)
